Throughout the years, Ty Beanie Babies have been introduced with different hang (or "swing") tags and tush tags. The tags are usually associated with the time period that the Beanie was introduced and/or manufactured in.

During the two years of Garcia's life, the bear appeared in public with third and fourth generation hang tags and second and third generation tush tags.

Hang Tags

Third Generation Hang Tag

The third generation hang tag was introduced in the spring of 1995. It was the first tag to feature "Ty" in a fatter, more bubble-like font. These tags were before Beanie Babies had birthdays and poems. In that space was "To ______ From ______ with love."

Fourth Generation Hang Tag

The fourth generation tags appeared in the spring of 1996. The tags were the same size and shape of the third generation tags, but were the first to feature a yellow star with the text "Beanie Original Baby." The font of "Ty" on the tag was shrunk and was not outlined in gold. Another major change is the addition of the birth date and poem inside the tag!

Tush Tags

Second Generation Tush Tag

Second generation tush tags were the first to feature the Ty heart logo. But the Beanie's name still wasn't listed!

Third Generation Tush Tag

The third generation tush tags, in addition to the red Ty hear logo (which was smaller and shaped differently), also had the words "The Beanie Babies Collection." This tush tag generation was the first to feature the Beanie's name.
